Anushka Sharma is a Bollywood actor and producer. She is the highest paid actor in Bollywood, and has been awarded for her work. Nush is her own clothing line for women. Additionally, she is a brand ambassador and owns various other brands. Forbes Magazine has featured her as well. Anushka Sharma's parents were Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka's father is a colonel retd. His mother is a domestic worker. The elder brother of Anushka Karnesh Sharma served in Merchant Navy and now is an independent film maker. Anushka has completed her studies at Army School in Bangalore, and then pursued the bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) at Mount Carmel College. Anushka possesses a Master in Arts (Economics). Anushka was always aspired to become either an actress or journalist or an actor, but she never thought of it as a profession. Anushka Sharma left for Mumbai for the purpose of registering at Elite Model Management and be groomed under the guidance by style advisor Prasad Bidapa. Anushka started modeling in the year 2017 at Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show. She was also selected to represent the collection Spring Summer 2007, by Rodricks. After her modeling debut at Lakme Fashion Week Anushka did several campaigns for brands like n she has done campaigns to promote the brand's Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry and Fiat Palio etc. Anushka began to audition for film roles as an actor and attended an acting class in addition to her work as models. Anushka was first seen in an acting role in a film by Shah Rukh Khan opposite Anushka. As a screen test for her, she refused to do an impromptu one and took the day off to practice. Later she was contracted for three movies under the Yash Raj Films label. She played a role as the bride, who was young and married to a man who was middle age (the role that Shah Rukh Khan was portraying). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka was seen along with Shahid Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das as well as Meiyang Chang in the 2010 movie "Badmash Company". The film was met with mixed receptions. Anushka played a role in a film named Band Baaja Baaraat, starring Ranveer, where she played the role of a middle-class who starts her wedding planning company. The film received a positive review. Anushka's contract for three films at Yash Raj Films ended with Band Baaja Baaraat.
